Surprises,Surprises,Surprises!!!!!

Usually I’m not big on surprises; I always know exactly what I’m getting on my birthday and Christmas. But yesterday I came home to the best surprise in a long time. Earlier in the month I  did a post on a jewelry line by byboe that I was totally smitten by, well my boyfriend (Bhavin, hence the "B")  surprised me with the earrings and pendent that I blogged about. I had no clue he ordered it!!!! Well needless to say I'm a very happy girlfriend today. The earrings are quirky and adorable and I plan on living in them for a while and for the pendent – here begins the beginning of a collection!!!!!

Latest Obession- All things that glitters!!!!

I’m not sure if it’s the holiday season with all the bright shiny lights and glitter encrusted ornaments that put me in the mood for sequins, but all I know is that I’m head over heels with this latest trend. You can find it just about everywhere from dresses, shoes, blazers, pants, to headbands! A little glitter never hurt nobody!!!

LANVIN FOR H&M

Hundreds of people lined up early, some overnight, outside of  H&M stores to be the first to buy from Lanvin's newest collection in the U.S . Since joining Lanvin as artistic director in 2001, Alber Elbaz has transformed the Paris-based label, founded in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin. Elbaz has pioneered some of the biggest trends of the past decade - ribbon, bows, pearls, raw edges, specific colors and metallic embellishments.  Unfortunately Houston, TX does not have a H&M store, but if you're like me you'll find a way to get your hands on the collection (I have a friend who has a sister who lives in FL. that said she will get me the things I like, THANKS A MILLION DIPU AND NIKI!!!!) till then I plan on drolling over the pics.

I'm Baccccckkkkkk!!!!

After a long hiatus I am glad to say I’m back. There are no legit excuses for my lack of posting besides the lack of inspiration. Yesterday night after sifting through mounds of magazines I realized something, that I really missed blogging and from here on I will continue blogging on a regular basis. I would also like to apologize to the people who kept checking out Keeping up with Kristy and thank them for all of their support.

Going through one of the magazine, these earrings caught my eye and after checking out their website (byboe.com) I found some great pieces that I could order at a great price.

I plan on getting two different letters, a K for my initial and a B for my boyfriends initial. Its always better to switch it up!!

How adorable are these pendents, I plan on layering as few together with my siblings and parents initials.

There leather rings are great alone are stacked together and they come in great metallic colors!

Thrifty Business

Vintage shopping is my new favorite hobby; I can spend hours and hours looking for hidden gems. But if you’re not a 100% sure if vintage is your thing, then I would advise you to start off small with little pieces here and there and then work your way up to a full on commitment. Always remember that vintage is not a costume, don’t wear a single decade head to toe or it will end up looking like a Halloween costume. Instead take the best part of each decade and make it work for today. Also be open-minded, go ahead and try new things you will be surprised at what may look great on you.  One thing for sure with all types of clothing is, always stay true to your style!

Here are a few great vintage finds my sister and I found!!!!

DIY

I was so excited when  my little sister Julie told me that Cynthia Rowley had collaborated with Ban-aid brand to create new limited edition band-aids.  The band-aids are printed with festive sequins, lace, chain patterns, gems and even Rowley’s full name emblazoned across a couple of them. After realizing that they were sold exclusively online only, I thought to myself that this could be easy, I can glam up my own band-aids and they would look even better for half the price.
Knicks and scrapes just got a little more enjoyable!!!!!

I loved the camo print but you can play around with all the diff colors you can find at the drug store!!
