For months my sister Julie has been raving about a drink she had at a place called Beavers in Houston,TX. She finally came up with her own version of the recipe. One sip and I was hooked to this refreshing crisp mocktail, and the hint of habanero is just the perfect amount of heat to hit the back of your throat. This is the perfect drink to end the lazy days of summer.
Julie's Habanero infused Cucumber -Lemonade
5 CUPS WATER
SUGAR TO TASTE
SEA SALT (A PINCH)
1/2 HABANERO PEPPER
JUICE OF 2 LIMES
JUICE OF 1 LEMON
Blend all of the ingredients together except sea salt. Strain the mixture in a pitcher with ice and sprinkle sea salt on top and stir. Serve in beautiful glasses and garnish with a slice of cucumber.
